About Disciples Table

We are a gathering of believers that started as a home group of a local church in the McKinney, TX area. We continue to be members of local churches in the area while opening up our group to neighbors who may not have a church home.

There are various expressions of the local body of Christ. We fashion our gatherings after what we read about the early church in the book of Acts - a time of fellowship over a meal, a time of studying God's word, and a time of communion as we remember what Jesus Christ accomplished through his life, death, burial, and resurrection.

Core Tenets of Our Faith

We believe in:
One God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, John 14:15–18).

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh (Philippians 2:6–11), His virgin birth (Luke 1:34–38), His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death (1 Peter 3:18), His bodily resurrection (Acts 2:23–24), His ascension, His mediatorial work (1 Corinthians 15:20–23, Romans 5:9, Hebrews 2:9), and his personal return in power and glory (Matthew 26:64).

The Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 16:7-11,13; Acts 1:8)

The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Peter 1:20–21; 2 Timothy 3:15–16)

The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:4–7)

The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:4-8).

The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life (Revelation 21:1–4), they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (Revelation 21:8).
